Third-party services this site uses
In the interest of full transparency: this site loads its typefaces from Google Fonts. Loading a web font works like loading an image — your browser makes a direct request to Google’s servers, which necessarily includes your IP address as a normal part of that request. Google’s font service doesn’t use this to build an advertising profile, but it is a request to a third party, so we’re disclosing it here. The map on our home page is an embedded Google Map, which loads from Google when you view that section. No other third-party service is used to render this site.

Like virtually every website, our hosting provider and security/CDN provider automatically keep short-term technical logs of requests (IP address, browser type, page requested) to keep the site running and secure — the same kind of logging any server on the internet does.
